Still GmbH of Hamburg, the leading supplier of intelligent control for Intralogistics, can also score points in the area of materials handling vehicles. This traditional manufacturer from the banks of the Elbe is showing the best sales figures in Europe for 2005, in the field of electric forklift trucks. Without doubt, the product offensive, started in by Still in the previous year, has contributed to this success. Its new machines set the standards for shape, colour, build quality and functional design in forklift trucks.
The prelude to the new models was the RX 50, the first development following the example of the RXX concept study. Three-phase drive, electric service brake, application of CAN bus systems and implementation of the construction kit principle, to name but a few of its fundamental characteristics, enable it to meet the widest range of customer requirements. As an example, four capacities between 1.0 and 1.6 tonnes have been made available, helping make the RX 50 a high-volume model for Still. |
