The EXV 10 and EXV 12 represent a new generation of high lift tiller stackers with load capacities of 1.0 and 1.2 tonnes developed by the Hamburg based STILL GmbH and presented at the CeMAT 2008. Just as all the latest new models these new stackers are also designed as modular kits. This way each customer can select an individual truck from a broad range of options to best fit his operating conditions and application profiles. By this STILL proves its alignment to offer each customer a product suitable for any individual intralogistics task in this product segment as well.
This, for example, refers to the different masts (telescopic mast or triplex mast); the EXV 12 even has an optional triplex mast for the first time.
The focus of the development was placed on characteristics such as sturdiness, reliability and low maintenance. The great stiffness is mainly due to the modified geometry of the mast, reinforced fork angles and a stiffer chassis. Both high lift trucks are furnished with a maintenance and wear-free 1.2 kilowatt three-phase (AC) drive. This guarantees high turnover performance and low maintenance costs. With the help of the modern AC drive, the truck features an improved traction control, is easy to handle and moves reliably. The STILL service can parameterize the driving characteristics according to the individual requirements of the customer.
Full turnover performance and sensitive driving
The pump drive makes the hydraulics outstandingly powerful. This permits lift and lowering speeds with and without load that are higher than those of the predecessor EXV. At the same time the hydraulic system reacts more sensitive and is less noisy. The three-position main switch allows each user to adapt the sensitivity of the hydraulics to his or her special work situation. This makes it possible to select the position for full dynamics with respectively high turnover performance or great sensitivity for the fork control which is especially helpful when handling sensitive goods or when exact placement of parts in production machines is required.
Just as the electric high lift trucks by STILL, the EXV is speed controlled by an intelligent speed reduction system controlling the driving speed according to angle of the tiller. As long as the tiller is nearly upright, the maximum speed and thus the risk of accidents is largely reduced. Only if the user is farther away from the truck and the tiller is in a more horizontal position, the maximum speed of six kilometres per hour is permitted. This safety concept is completed by a button on the tiller head executing a short reversing movement to remove the truck away from the user if pressed.
The proven ergonomically optimised STILL tiller concept allows comfortable operation of all functions the EXV offers - for left-handed and right-handed users alike. Large buttons make operation easy, also with gloves. The new high lift trucks are just as efficient operating between racks as when loading and unloading lorries. This is why they excellently complement the STILL range of warehouse equipment. |
