THE JOYSTICK.


The joystick ensures a relaxed position of the driver's arm. It provides all important functions and is integrated into the right armrest. The drive direction, for example, can be changed by simply moving a switch with the thumb.

 

However, the joystick does not only allow especially easy operation of the truck but also saves a lot of time leading to up to 10% more turnover (because it is possible to operate two functions at the same time).

 

And last but least that means more safety, because the left hand can always hold the Mini-Wheel. The joystick is already in use on counterbalance trucks and in combination with the Mini-Wheel it has become an indispensible piece of equipment on warehouse trucks such as the new FM-X from STILL.


THE ELECTRO HYDRAULIC STEERING.


This makes everything much, much more easy. Because this is not just a normal steering wheel. It is extremely light moving and can be turned using just one finger. A new proportional valve, an extremely small steering disc and the ergonomic placement of the Mini-Wheel in the left armrest allow for this.

 

And: the elimination of the hydraulic components in the steering column makes the steering much more quiet than conventional systems.

 


THE NATURAL HORN.


In case of danger the driver wants to warn, not to frighten. This is why the sound of the RXX horn makes use of the sounds of a dolphin with high and low frequencies that make it ideally suitable for this.

 

What else is behind this? The hope, that man and technology will live in harmony with the nature in future.

 

 


THE TYRE SYSTEM AND THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONCEPT.


An innovative tyre concept, combining the advantages of a pneumatic tyre with the advantages of an SE tyre. The spring and dampening functions of the tyres are assumed by a separate spring and dampening system placed between the running surface and the rim of the wheel. This allows to adapt the characteristics of the spring to the current load situation.

The result: this new construction ensures outstanding comfort and great stability of the truck and of course reduces the chances of breakdown.

 

The times of mechanical brakes are over. With the new brake concept from STILL the electronic operation brake (functioning as a regenerative counter-current system) is activated by pressing a button. In case of emergency, for example, the spring pressure brake sets in automatically (to prevent the truck from stopping too hard, the spring brake is hydraulically controlled and sets in smoothly).

 

The whole STILL brake concept is a combination of a lamella-type brake, spring brake, automatic brake (accelerator release brake) and an electronic control system.
