STILL founds its 22nd subsidiary in Norway

Strengthened market presence in Scandinavia

STILL, the intralogistics specialist, has founded its 22nd subsidiary by taking over its Norwegian distributor Andersen Truck, thus strengthening its market presence in Scandinavia. All corporate activities will be combined under the STILL Norge name in future. The final transfer of ownership by the competent authorities takes place today, 1st September 2016. Roar Andersen, Managing Director of Andersen Truck, had already signed the corresponding contract at the CeMat 2016 trade fair in Hanover, thereby paving the way for the company to become STILL’s official national company and thus a 100% subsidiary of the STILL Group.

At CeMAT 2016 in Hannover, the course was set for the 22nd STILL subsidiary STILL Norge with the official signing of the contract. F.l.t.r.: Dr. Henry Puhl, Chairman of the STILL Management Board, Roar Andersen, Managing Director of Andersen Truck, Frank Müller, Vice President Sales CEE & Dealer Business of the STILL GmbH, Thomas A. Fischer, CSO STILL GmbH.

By acquiring Andersen Truck, STILL will take over the existing organisation. Marek Juhas, who previously successfully headed STILL’s national company in Slovakia as its Managing Director, will lead the new company in Norway. Sönke Imbeck, who after various positions in the financial area was most recently Head of Finance of STILL’s national company in Romania, will become Head of Finance and simultaneously Manager for Rental and Used Trucks. Andersen Truck’s successful team will be taken over and selectively reinforced, especially in the Distribution, Service, Rental and Used Truck business areas. The intention is for the new Norwegian national company to be developed further and expanded by additional investments to tap the full potential for our customers in the country.

Dr. Henry Puhl, Chairman of STILL’s Management Board, explained that “By taking over Andersen Truck, with whom we have already had successful, trusting collaboration in Norway for many years, we are delighted that we have been able to establish a national company through which we can consistently pursue our ambitious objectives in the Norwegian market. The Norwegian market, with its high proportion of premium products and electric trucks, has significant importance for STILL in Europe. If the trend towards electrical mobility progresses further there, we also expect significant growth in the electric industrial truck segment of our industry. We are confident we are ideally positioned to serve this demanding market through STILL’s performance promise.”
