Logistics Leader of the Year 2025

Our world is constantly changing. People who set technologies in motion revolutionise the entire industry with their innovations - and become leaders in logistics. In addition to material support, innovators and inventors above all need inspiration and public recognition. This is where the Logistics Hall of Fame comes in with its "Logistics Leader of the Year" award. The award honours entrepreneurs whose ideas and work already show today that they will significantly shape the future of logistics. These logistics leaders are taking the logistics industry to a new level - and by sponsoring this award, we are lifting them to a higher level. STILL gives all visionaries the space to develop their ideas freely. And a stage on which to present their groundbreaking innovations to the world.

The Logistics Leader of the Year Award 2025 goes to Stefan Hohm.

Together with the Logistics Hall of Fame, STILL honours the winner of one of the most important awards for current trendsetters in logistics every year. By doing so, STILL recognises individuals who are pioneering the future of logistics.

This year, Stefan Hohm was chosen as Logistics Leader of the Year 2025. As Chief Development Officer at the Kempten-based logistics service provider Dachser, he is the mastermind behind the company's innovation and digitalisation strategy. He embodies the modernisation of the logistics industry.

The Logistics Leader 2025 award goes to:
... a driver of the innovation strategy.

The jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame and STILL particularly commend the winner for its innovation and digitalisation strategy. "If it doesn't scale, it's not for us," says Stefan Hohn. This clear credo, learned in Silicon Valley, is also in line with STILL's attitude: innovation is not an end in itself or even for show. Innovation should benefit the company. To be valuable, it must be scalable and usable throughout the network. This is the only way to make processes better, faster and more customer-focused. And only when it is clear from the outset what a technology can achieve can a project be implemented.
A true mastermind of innovation and digitalisation strategy – the Logistics Leader of the Year 2025!

The Logistics Leader 2025 award goes to:
… an enabler who brings ideas and teams together.

The jury also recognises the practical and forward-looking implementation of innovative projects under the leadership of the Logistics Leader of the Year. Stefan Hohn earned this title through his firm belief that "innovation is never the work of one person alone; innovation is teamwork ". Through his work, Hohm and his team are setting new standards and significantly strengthening the company's competitiveness in the global marketplace. The firm anchoring of innovation processes within the management board and the mindset of the family business is of central importance. This structural support enables innovations to be embedded sustainably in the company and spread throughout the network. A true enabler of innovation.

The Logistics Leader 2025 award goes to:
… a networker who integrates business and research.

A distinctive feature of the work of the Logistics Leader of the Year is the close link between research and practice. By establishing a research and development team, Hohm embarked on a journey that transformed research into a model for success and a strategic pillar of corporate development. Hohm believes that only by combining business and science in terms of personnel and expertise can viable solutions be found.
This principle was particularly evident in the @ILO project, a digital twin for general cargo warehouses. In collaboration with Fraunhofer IML, Dachser developed a system that digitally maps all packages, assets and processes. This enables real-time control, analysis and optimisation, marking a significant milestone for the logistics industry as a whole.

STILL as a sponsor: Courage to change

Logistics needs courageous decision-makers who lead the way with intelligent ideas and concepts and set milestones for an entire industry. We are committed to recognising innovations and their creators and giving them visibility beyond the industry.
