Reviews
"Our long-standing partner, STILL, involved us in the field testing of the new RX 60 forklift truck. Our test drivers experienced the new dual motor drive to be extremely comfortable providing a stable drive feel. The colleagues highlighted the automatic parking brake, which closes automatically when the driver leaves the truck and opens when the accelerator pedal is pressed.
The opportunity to field-test the new truck is another example of our extremely positive cooperation with STILL. Our cooperation has always been characterised by the high availability, the partnership and cooperative exchange as well as the sensible way in which the STILL service team worked".

Driver assistance systems and functions
Safety Assist
Zone detection
The wireless zone detection promotes general work safety thanks to automatic speed reduction in certain areas or by opening doors when a truck is approaching. It comprises a wireless system (incl. antennae set, driver interface and connection to the vehicle controller), which allows the truck, pedestrians and stationary wireless modules (on doors, entrances and hazard points) to communicate with each other.
Ceiling sensor
The ceiling sensor detects low ceiling heights and prompts the driver to reduce their speed in order to promote general work safety in the warehouse. It comprises an ultrasonic sensor on the roof of the truck, which detects ceilings up to a height of 20 m. Depending on the sensor signal, the maximum speed is controlled, whereby the standard speed is 6 km/h.
Camera systems for fork carriage, outer mast and rear
The camera systems for fork carriage, outer mast and rear offer improved visibility and thus help to prevent collisions with the warehouse infrastructure, as well as personal injury. The camera, which is attached to the truck according to its position, improves the driver’s vision of the environment by displaying an image on the driver’s monitor of everything that is captured by the camera in front and behind the truck.
Fork camera system
The fork camera prevents damage to goods, personal injury due to falling loads, and collisions with the shelving. The system is mounted on the inner side of the fork tips and improves the visibility of the load, particularly at large lift heights, as the camera view is displayed on the driver’s monitor.
Reversing Alarm Plus
The Reversing Alarm Plus prevents collisions and personal injury. It is a 3D camera-based assistance system for rear monitoring, and also detects the presence of people and objects. A rear view image is displayed on the monitor, whereby the system reliably distinguishes between pedestrians and objects and triggers an appropriate response, such as emitting a warning signal or braking.
Wireless collision avoidance
The wireless collision avoidance protects drivers, employees and trucks from dangerous situations, even without visibility. The system requires the truck to be pre-fitted with a set of antennae, a driver interface and a connection to the vehicle controller. It allows trucks, pedestrians and stationary wireless modules (e.g. on doors, entrances, hazard points) to communicate with each other. When trucks approach pedestrians, both parties receive an optical and acoustic warning (warning zone). In case of dangerous approaches (protection zone), they are alerted and interventions in the operation (braking) may be triggered. It therefore prevents ‘vehicle to pedestrian’ and ‘vehicle to vehicle’ collisions.
Rear warning device
The rear warning device alerts the driver to objects and pedestrians behind the truck. It comprises a radar-based rear monitoring sensor for obstacle detection and a light indicator with signal tone. The reach and width of the monitoring area can be individually configured. The light indicator and signal tone warn the driver of a potential collision.
Shock detection (with or without FleetManager 4.x)
Where shock detection is used without FleetManager, an accelerometer detects mechanical shock events indicative of improper use. Once shocks have been detected, the truck is set to creep speed. The supervisor can turn the speed restriction back off again by entering the 'Fleet manager PIN' in the Easy Control Display.
As no additional components are required, this is a cost-effective option for preventing damage to the truck and goods. Where shock detection is used with FleetManager, should vibrations exceed a certain level, the load will be registered as unusual and this information will be shared with the fleet manager.
As well as shocks, these notifications can also include information about the speed of travel, the time, the truck and the driver.
Shock detection (without FleetManager 4.x)
With shock detection, an accelerometer detects mechanical shock events indicative of improper use. When shocks are detected, the truck is set to creep speed. The supervisor can then turn the speed restriction back off again by entering the ‘Fleet manager PIN’. Apart from the accelerometer, no other components are required, making this a very cost-effective option. If more extensive analysis is required (e.g. travel speed, time, driver and truck), this option can be used in combination with FleetManager 4.x.
Access authorisation (without FleetManager 4.x) with PIN
Digicode systems (PIN) are an easy way to prevent unauthorised use of the truck. The truck can be started up quickly and easily, simply by entering the PIN code. This allows the user to limit access authorisation to specific individuals or groups. It is possible to configure up to ten PIN codes.
Access authorisation (with Fleet Manager 4.x)
Access control perfectly integrated into the truck with different types of access authorisation for one or more trucks: with FleetManager 4.x you are free to choose the type of access authorisation for one or more trucks: chip, FleetManager card, your personal plant ID card or a PIN.
Thanks to the smart auto-logout function, the trucks are automatically deactivated after a freely selectable period of time – this also increases safety.
Panoramic mirror
The panoramic mirror, which can be mounted on the left or right side of the truck, improves visibility and reduces the size of the blind spot by expanding the field of vision. Drivers are able to get a quick overview of what’s behind them, allowing them to work more safely.
Fire extinguisher
Equipping forklift trucks with a fire extinguisher can help prevent the risk of fire. This should be clarified as part of the risk assessment. This enables fast and direct action in case of fire, thus preventing major damage.
Windows can be broken with the emergency hammer provided.
Protective grille roof
The protective grille roof is available in a low or high version, according to the height of the passageways. It protects the driver from falling loads.
Automatic parking brake
The automatic parking brake is applied automatically or at the push of a button, and prevents the truck from rolling. The electrohydraulic spring-loaded brake locks whenever the truck stops.
Easy-Belt
Owing to the EasyBelt, the seat belt is already diagonally taut over the driver's seat. When stepping aboard, the driver only needs to climb into the pre-tensed belt. The quick and convenient handling of the EasyBelt makes buckling up a breeze. How you benefit: Cost-effective addition to the belt which ensures that the driver is able to properly secure their seat belt without effort;
Enables quick seat belt fastening and unfastening, thus having a positive effect on productivity;
High comfort level within the driver's work space due to the quick and easy handling of the seat belt – resulting in a high acceptance level from forklift truck drivers;
Easy to retrofit – EasyBelt can easily be retrofitted onto your fleet's counterbalanced forklift trucks.
Bracket restraint systems
Bracket systems protect drivers thanks to their stable structure and assembly within the truck contour. We also offer fitting and retrofitting for trucks with a rear windscreen. This does not restrict the freedom of movement or the all-round visibility of the driver, nor does it make getting on and off the truck more difficult. The manual system can be opened and closed by hand. The automatic system is coupled with the hand brake or accelerator pedal, and closes the bracket as soon as the truck begins to move.
Mast headlights
These LED headlights improve the lighting conditions to the sides of the tuck and reduce the glare effect as they do not reflect off the mast from behind. This way, higher rack areas are also illuminated.
Reversing light
The reversing light is a long, multi-coloured light on the back of the truck, which automatically emits a constant red light during forward travel and switches automatically to a flashing white light when the truck is in reverse.
The reversing light increases the visibility of the truck and thus reduces the risk of accidents as other traffic and pedestrians are able to easily identify the direction of travel.
The light, which is protected by a U-shaped frame, is anti-glare and can be attached to various points on the truck.
Integrated horn on rear handle
The integrated horn is located on the handle to the rear of the overhead guard. The horn signal sounds at the push of a button. Thanks to this simple and ergonomic method of signalling, when reversing the driver can warn pedestrians in the area that the truck is approaching.
Broadband alarm
The broadband alarm is an audible alarm that emits a broadband signal tone. Over longer distances, the tone is drowned out by ambient noise. However, in the immediate environment the noise and thus the source of danger are very easy to locate. This increases awareness of the truck and prevents accidents.
STILL Pre-Shift Check
Safety first: digital guided Pre-Shift Check
With the Pre-Shift Check in the on-board computer STILL Easy Control STILL achieves a new level of safety for the driver and the truck: before the start of each shift, or at user-defined intervals, the driver must confirm the operational capability of the truck via the on-board computer before he can put the truck into operation with all its functions.
The customer is free to choose the criteria of the safety check. In addition to the standard query, several individual queries can be stored in the display of the on-board computer. And if an answer is negative? The customer has all options.
For example, he can define in the system that the performance of the vehicle is automatically limited if a query shows a negative test result.
Learn moreWarning Zone Light/ Warning Zone Light Plus
Perfect addition to the STILL SafetyLight
The STILL warning zone light projects two strips of light to the left and right of the forklift truck. The optional illumination equipment serves as a visual warning for pedestrians and other drivers in the vicinity by projecting luminescent strips on the hall floor at the sides of the forklift truck.
The STILL Warning Zone Light Plus projects a semi-circle around the rear of the truck. This also increases awareness of the truck and marks a typical danger zone when approaching. This reduces the risk of pedestrian injury.
The STILL Warning Zone Light and the STILL Warning Zone Light Plus therefore perfectly complement the STILL Safety Light, which projects a blue cone of light in the front of the truck in the direction of driving.

EasyBelt
Owing to the EasyBelt, the seat belt is already diagonally taut over the driver's seat. When stepping aboard, the driver only needs to climb into the pre-tensed belt. The quick and convenient handling of the EasyBelt makes buckling up a breeze.
Advantages to you:
- Cost-effective addition to the belt which ensures that the driver is able to properly secure their seat belt without effort
- Enables quick seat belt fastening and unfastening, thus having a positive effect on productivity
- High comfort level within the driver's work space due to the quick and easy handling of the seat belt – resulting in a high acceptance level from forklift truck drivers
- Easy to retrofit – EasyBelt can easily be retrofitted onto your fleet's counterbalanced forklift trucks
Sauermann restraint system
This system is available in different variants – mechanical or electric. A bracket system is installed on the side of the forklift truck which can be opened either manually or automatically. Each option ensures the highest level of operator protection and enables drivers to climb in and out of the forklift quickly and easily.
Learn moreAccess authorisation (without FleetManager)
If desired, you can limit the usage of your forklift truck to specific persons or groups of persons via access authorisation. Select whether the release of the truck should be carried out using a key switch or via a digicode system with ten configurable access codes (or PINs).
Learn moreSeat belt control
Buckled up? If not, the seat belt control ensures that the driving speed is automatically reduced. In cab trucks, the system only engages when the cab door is open.
Learn moreLoad backrest
Keeping the goods in place: the load backrest stabilises the transported goods at the fork carriage back so that they can be securely transported from A to B.
Learn moreDaytime driving light
Safe operation at all times: the LED daytime driving light ensures that the forklift truck is always clearly visible even in darker areas. A daytime driving light is available for various trucks.
Learn moreRotating light
A flashing, warning or rotating light increases safety at the warehouse and makes other employees working in the warehouse aware of the forklift truck via a flashing yellow light signal. If preferred, this can be set to only light up when reversing. The use of this light increases safety particularly in areas where hearing protection is required to be worn. The rotating light is available in various designs and can be mounted on or behind the overhead guard.
Learn moreSTILL SafetyLight 4plus
The visual warning system for fewer accidents
The blue warning light, STILL SafetyLight 4plus, significantly increases work safety in areas which are confusing or full of bends. The blue light spots are projected approx. 5 m in front of and behind the truck and warn people about the approaching truck to prevent impending collisions.
Learn moreDriver profile via FleetManager
Who can use which forklift truck for which area of application? How fast may a certain driver travel in the industrial truck?
The solution: our smart driver profiles in FleetManager 4.x. This web-based application allows the features of the truck to be adapted to the operator’s requirements, such as a reduction in travel, lifting or tilting speed or automatic activation of the lights.
Learn moreAcoustic signal when reversing
Safety in the warehouse is increased thanks to an acoustic signal during reversing. Colleagues are therefore able to notice the forklift truck even if they have their back to it.
Learn moreDrive Assist
Assistant Truck Control
The compactly bundled basic safety package: the intelligent Assistant Truck Control driver assistance system features several functions which detect potentially critical driving situations and indicate these to the operator, or even act independently.
The following features are included in this driver assistance system:
- Safe exit/parking: a warning tone is sounded if the seat is vacated but the parking brake is not applied. This prevents unsecured truck from being parked.
- Seat belt controls: the driving speed is automatically reduced if the seat belt is not worn. In cab trucks, the system only engages when the cab door is open. The operator also receives a reminder to wear the seat belt.
- Speed limiter controlled by steering angle (Curve Speed Control): the driving speed is automatically adapted when taking curves. Through the speed limiter controlled by steering angle, possible damage to goods is reduced owing to the appropriate cornering speed.
- Speed limiter with raised forks: if the forks are raised above the "desired value of up to 500 mm" during the drive, the speed of the forklift truck is reduced automatically. The advantage of this is that you can drive safely even when the forks are raised.
Driving programmes
The right driving programme for all requirements: the operator can choose between three established and two freely configurable driving programmes in the three operating modes: Blue-Q, normal and sprint mode. The driving programmes can be chosen according to the situation in order to achieve the maximum performance or energy efficiency.
Intelligent autopilot: the forklift’s Blue-Q (blue button) efficiency mode is activated at the touch of a button. An intelligent optimisation characteristic in the drive saves energy precisely where it is not impacted by the work process.
Up to 10% savings in energy consumption depending on the use profile and forklift equipment.
Learn moreSpeed limitation when fork carriage is raised
For the safe transport of goods: when driving with raised forks, there is a risk that the loaded pallets could tip, damaging the goods. The driving speed is automatically reduced depending on the lift height in order to prevent this.
Learn moreCurve Speed Control
Automatic speed adjustment for curves
The speed limiter controlled by steering angle reduces possible damage to goods by adapting to an appropriate cornering speed. This assistance function is available for various forklift trucks and warehouse technology devices, and regulates the driving speed automatically according to the steering angle. In other words, the driver doesn’t need to worry about speed when cornering. The truck automatically decelerates precisely as much as necessary for the operator to drive as safely but as quickly as possible.
Learn moreLoad Assist
Automatic mast vertical position
More handling performance when stacking onto high shelves: this function helps to easily place pallets at higher shelf heights. The mast automatically remains in the vertical position when the hydraulic system is activated by pressing the vertical adjustment button.
Learn moreLoad measuring
A pressure measurement in the hydraulic circuit detects, calculates and permanently displays the load mass in operation on the operator’s display. This prevents tipping accidents due to overloading. The measurement procedure for load detection works from a mass of 50 kg and offers accuracy of +/- 5% of the nominal load.
However, the load measurement, which is activated by the driver, is even more precise and detects deviations of just 3% of the nominal load.
If the nominal load exceeds the maximum permitted load by 10%, the overload detection gradually restricts the lifting function before stopping it altogether, in order to avoid tipping accidents.
Learn moreMast tilt display
The driver can see the tilt angle of the mast on the display. They therefore always have the highest degree of control over the loaded goods. The function is a real help during storage and retrieval as well, as the operator is able to precisely check if the forks are holding the pallet correctly.
Learn morePanoramic glass roof
Optimal visibility at all times: the optional panoramic overhead guard with armoured glass window provides improved visibility when storing and retrieving goods. It works entirely without the need for struts and of course meets all the safety standards of a standard overhead guard.
Learn moreLift height display
The LED lift height sensor integrated as standard ensures the highest level of precision of the lift height display from the first millimetre. The driver is therefore always aware of the fork tip height and can manoeuvre with precision in order to ensure that they do not touch the shelf when lifting the pallet. The system works with a repeat accuracy of less than +/- 5 mm and the driver is able to see the lift height on the display at all times.
