A sustainable trade fair participation STILL gives trade fair material a second life in social institutions
Sustainable trade fair appearance
Once again, intralogistics specialist STILL proves that a strong trade fair presence does not have to result in a large ecological footprint. At the LogiMAT intralogistics trade fair in Stuttgart, the Hamburg-based company prioritised regional procurement and the consistent reuse and recycling of valuable resources. And successfully so: Thanks to the cooperation with the re-use specialist Trash Galore alone, almost 960 kg of material from the trade fair stand was "saved" and donated to social organisations in the region - a saving of 4,152.65 kgCO2eq. In addition, STILL demonstrated its commitment to a smart circular economy by upcycling used advertising banners into eye-catching bags.

STILL attaches great importance to sustainability and responsibility for resources - and not just in terms of developing low-emission solutions for future-oriented intralogistics. As part of its holistic sustainability strategy, the company is striving to establish high sustainability standards in all areas of the company. This also applies to its participation in trade fairs.
As a result, the STILL trade fair stand at LogiMAT 2024 was honoured with the German Design Award for its sustainable concept, among other things. This has been further developed for LogiMAT 2025 - with a particular focus on the aspect of resource conservation. In cooperation with the Leipzig-based start-up company Trash Galore, STILL has once again ensured that trade fair construction materials that are not suitable for reuse in trade fair or event construction are given a "second life" in charitable organisations in the region.
Almost 960 kg of material for social institutions in the region
Four social institutions in the Stuttgart area have received extensive donations of materials for their work: 492.70 kg of carpet, 443.52 kg of shelving and 22.40 kg of blockout material are now being used at the Sindolino youth farm, the Stuttgart youth centre, the leather workshop and the Wagenhalle art association, for example as a projection screen, to equip a construction playground, as flooring in the rehearsal room and to create individual upcycled products.
This saved a total of 4,152.65 kgCO2eq, the equivalent of around 22 economy class flights between Zurich and London. "We are very pleased that parts of our trade fair stand will 'live on' thanks to the cooperation with the regional organisations. This will have a positive impact on several levels: Valuable resources are reused as part of a circular raw materials management approach, carbon dioxide equivalent is saved and the valuable work of charitable projects is supported in a practical and pragmatic way," says Jan Christoph Sachse, Senior Director Marketing & Brand Communications STILL.

The journey is the reward: Sustainability big and small
STILL also continued on its path to greater sustainability with its trade fair presence beyond the cooperation with Trash Galore. For example, when organising the event, care was taken to ensure that the team travelled to and from the fair with as few emissions as possible, and hotels were chosen that were centrally located so that the daily journey to the fair could be made on foot, by public transport or by electric scooter. When it came to catering, STILL placed great emphasis on reducing waste and using regional and fair-trade products. In addition, around 6 kg of bottle caps from the glass bottles used were collected and handed over to the charity organisation Hanseatic Help in Hamburg for recycling.
A smart approach to circularity: A second life for STILL advertising banners
A particular highlight were the eye-catching merchandising bags and transport covers that STILL had made from the advertising banners from the press conference in Antwerp in January - a tribute to the successful event and a strong statement that holistic sustainability can work and look great in a company.
