60 years of STILL Danmark A/S
STILL Denmark celebrates its birthday
By founding the Axel Heiberg Aktiengesellschaft in May 1957, a man called Axel Heiberg laid the foundation for STILL Denmark’s success. “We ensure smooth teamwork between forklift trucks and warehouse technology, software and services,” is how Reke Salievski, Managing Director of STILL Danmark A/S, summarizes the current range of services provided by STILL’s national subsidiary.
Until then it was a story of growing success – and changing company names. The company changed its name in 1964, after which it was called Maskinfabrikken Esslingen Import Aktieselskab and was located in Glostrup. That’s no surprise, since after all, Axel Heiberg was closely associated with Maschinenfabrik Esslingen, a company whose industrial truck production operation was later merged into STILL GmbH. The STILL brand name first appeared in 1979 when the national subsidiary was renamed STILL Truck A/S and moved into new headquarters in the port town of Kolding.
The head offices are still in Kolding to this day. Only the building and the name changed once more when STILL Truck A/S was renamed STILL Danmark A/S in the nineteen-nineties. What’s more: today Kolding is also the location of a shared main workshop for STILL’s Danish and Swedish national subsidiaries. STILL Danmark A/S and STILL Sverige AB have collaborated intensively since the year 2000, and have been managed jointly by Managing Director Reke Salievski since 2000. Salievski says: “Our concept of collaboration between the two countries is unique in our sector of industry. Our customers enjoy the great advantage that they receive the same quality and the same customer service everywhere – regardless of where they are in the two countries.”
The concept was a total success: STILL Denmark developed into one of the Scandinavian country’s leading suppliers of customised intralogistics solutions. Salievski, who aims to carry forward this success story, sums it up by saying “We are very proud that today STILL is one of the top three suppliers in Denmark. That would have been impossible without our satisfied customers, who continue to recommend us. Our objective is constantly to offer our sector the best customer service in Denmark, thus contributing to growth and new momentum among our customers.”

The achievement created by the Company’s founder Hans Still in 1920 through a large amount of creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and quality quickly developed into a strong brand well-known throughout the world.
