Starting a career with STILL, the Hamburg intralogistics specialist

STILL welcomes future talent

The doors to a future career opened on the 7th of August for more than 50 new trainees from all the German locations of STILL, the Hamburg intralogistics specialist. The program for the “STILL Welcome Day” included initial insights into their future professional fields and the production factory.

STILL once again emphasizes its junior staff philosophy, successful throughout the Federal Republic of Germany, with the guiding principle “You are the key player!”. Thorsten Hofmann, CFO of STILL, stresses that “The great interest in training with STILL opens up future prospects – for the younger generation and for us as a company, because the high innovative power of our brand is due mainly to the enthusiasm of our thoroughly well-trained junior staff.” And he adds: “Our new training centre that opened in Fürth in May is another important success factor, because in addition to the Hamburg training centre, it gives us a second learning venue for our branches in Germany.” Training appropriate to the future is not only a corporate responsibility for STILL, but also the most efficient strategy to overcome the shortage of skilled, trained staff. Its high quality as an employer, including for talented younger staff, is re-examined annually and has received numerous awards. This is also confirmed by the internationally renowned distinction “Top Employer in Germany 2019”, now awarded to STILL for the eighth time in a row by the Top Employers Institute.

Training provided by the company in the new training year at the Hamburg headquarters and in 14 branches will lead to qualifications for a total of 205 trainees in dual system study courses and in a variety of skilled technical and commercial professions. Examples of these include mechatronics engineer (m/f/d), industrial, cutting machine and construction mechanic (m/f/d), warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d) and industrial, wholesale and export traders. The entire list of training courses offered can be found at https://www.still.de/en-DE/job-career, where the job advertisements for the 2020 training year are also already published.
